Sindh University is actively considering to establish an 'Education Management Information System' (EMIS) to ensure attendance of faculty members and students at every dean office level.

This was considered at a high level meeting chaired by Vice Chancellor Mazharul Haq Siddiqui. A four-member sub committee, which after study the attendance system in other universities, presented a detail report in the meeting to help ensure attendance of the teachers and taught.

The EMIS would collect the attendance of students from concerned institutes on daily, which would later be communicated to admission and examination departments.

The meeting also asked the head of the institutes and department to co-ordinate with industries to develop close interaction that would help industries in manufacturing cost-effective products.
